Cleaning & Disinfecting Policies and Duty Roster

What must be done…

Clean after every use:
- Soiled bedding or clothing.
- High chair.
- Toilet seat.
- Diaper changing mat.
- Kitchen counters/Food preparation areas.
- Sipper cups and baby bottles
Clean once a day:
- Any and all toys put into a child's mouth.
- Bathroom sink, toilet and floor.
- Table and chairs.
- All toys put away, inside and out.
- Sweep patio.
- Vacuum rugs, (in & out).
- Remove all trash from cans.
- Glass slider doors and doorknobs.
- Pick up dog "nasties."
Clean once a week:
- Bedding, blankets, pac-n-plays, & nap mats.
- All toys inside and out.
- Wash down large toys and patio areas.
- Dust entire playroom and bathroom, including shelves.
- Maintain lawns and landscaping areas.
Clean once a month:
- Refrigerator.
- Microwave.
- Ceiling fan blades.
- Spider web check.
Perform:
- A monthly test on all smoke dectors & document.
- A fire drill, done every six (6) months & document.
