Cleaning & Disinfecting Policies and Duty Roster

What must be done…

  1. Clean after every use:

    • Soiled bedding or clothing.
    • High chair.
    • Toilet seat.
    • Diaper changing mat.
    • Kitchen counters/Food preparation areas.
    • Sipper cups and baby bottles
  2. Clean once a day:

    • Any and all toys put into a child's mouth.
    • Bathroom sink, toilet and floor.
    • Table and chairs.
    • All toys put away, inside and out.
    • Sweep patio.
    • Vacuum rugs, (in & out).
    • Remove all trash from cans.
    • Glass slider doors and doorknobs.
    • Pick up dog "nasties."
  3. Clean once a week:

    • Bedding, blankets, pac-n-plays, & nap mats.
    • All toys inside and out.
    • Wash down large toys and patio areas.
    • Dust entire playroom and bathroom, including shelves.
    • Maintain lawns and landscaping areas.
  4. Clean once a month:

    • Refrigerator.
    • Microwave.
    • Ceiling fan blades.
    • Spider web check.
  5. Perform:

    • A monthly test on all smoke dectors & document.
    • A fire drill, done every six (6) months & document.
